Choice and Accountability

"In this life we have to make many choices. Some are very important choices. Some are not. Many of our choices are between good and evil. The choices we make, however, determine to a large extent our happiness or our unhappiness, because we have to live with the consequences of our choices." ~James E Faust

You Just Never Know

While we are mourning the loss of our friend, others are rejoicing to meet him behind the veil.
                                ~John Taylor

One of RyAnne's really good friends from school was killed in a car accident this morning.  She is having a really hard time with it.  Remember to keep your children close and to always tell them you love them because you never know when one of you will be taken from the other.

Ohio 2010 Ry and Larry

So a couple of weeks ago Larry and Ry went to Ohio to visit Larry's family. I of course could not get time off of work seeing that I had just started a new job in January and I am asking for time off in July. I promise I really do love Larry's family. I am bound and determined to make it out next year.

So they did a lot of fun things (two Indians games, the Rock N' Roll Hall of Fame, the Kirtland Temple, the racetrack to see Mark race and dinners and basketball with the family). Here are some pics of the fun that I missed :( Oh did I mention that RyAnne won the family the Fan Cave for the game. All 24 of them enjoyed the game including food and drinks, TVs, pool table, and a Wii (keep in mind that the Fan Cave usually costs $3000 a game). Woohoo!!!!

This is just wrong on so many levels- As you can tell the Indians played the Red Sox

Ry's Junior Prom

So Ry was a Junior this past year so they were responsible for planning the Junior/Senior Prom. Because Ry was the Junior class Secretary she had to help plan the event. As you can tell they had a masquerade ball theme. The faculty said that it was the best prom in a very long time. Great job Ry.

So I started doing some research on the three schools that RyAnne has chosen to apply to this fall. Yeah.........when Larry got home I showed him the numbers and just about had to pick him up off the floor. Lets see $54,000 for University of New Mexico living on campus vs $18,000 for Dixie State College and living at home and that is just 8 semesters of school. Holy cow!

Father's Day Fun

So on the way home from work this morning I thought I would get Larry his favorite breakfast food........Krispy Kreme. He was excited when he came downstairs and saw the box on the table. Man he is spoiled. Next was car shopping, dinner at Cafe Rio and the movie "Killers". A nice and relaxing day with the family.
