Choice and Accountability

"In this life we have to make many choices. Some are very important choices. Some are not. Many of our choices are between good and evil. The choices we make, however, determine to a large extent our happiness or our unhappiness, because we have to live with the consequences of our choices." ~James E Faust

Ry's Senior Prom

It is hard to believe that Ry is getting ready to graduate in a month.  Holy cow where has the time gone?  She was part of her school's prom court so I posted a few pics for everyone to see.  I am sure she is so excited to start her next adventure.  I have told Larry to hold on to his hat because it is sure to be a fast and bumpy ride for him!

Chillaxin' in Cali

Libbey on the back of my mom's chair.  The other dogs, Lily and Winnie were playing and acting crazy so Libbey found a nice quite spot so she could relax.  Too cute.

Busy Busy Busy

So we had a whirlwind weekend in New Mexico with a birthday party, getting insurance on the Honda and getting it registered in New Mexico, a softball game, a funeral and last minute shopping for things we forgot to pack, but we made it through and are back home.  There is nothing like pulling into your town after a long drive and just letting out a big sigh.  It was a really emotional weekend for Ry and her friends and I am so glad we were able to take Ry back so she could be with her friends.

Now back in St. George it was back to work the next day while finalizing the Ward July 4th breakfast, although not how I wanted it to go down.  It didn't turn out that bad though and I am grateful for the help from my friends for all they did to help pull this off. Worked the 2nd, 3rd and 4th.  Had the 5th off and had to do last minute shopping for the trip, find Larry some shirts that had collars on them, start to pack, attend association meeting, go tanning (don't want to burn in Cali)........and so on and so on and so on.................

Now it is time for college entrance essays, scholarship applications, summer school assignments and the finale of a nice long trip to Cali to spend with the family.  Can't wait to get to the beach, take in some rides at D-land, food, fun and shopping at the OC Fair and maybe a trip to Solvang or San Diego.  California here we come!!!!!!!!!

You Just Never Know

While we are mourning the loss of our friend, others are rejoicing to meet him behind the veil.
                                ~John Taylor

One of RyAnne's really good friends from school was killed in a car accident this morning.  She is having a really hard time with it.  Remember to keep your children close and to always tell them you love them because you never know when one of you will be taken from the other.

Ohio 2010 Ry and Larry

So a couple of weeks ago Larry and Ry went to Ohio to visit Larry's family. I of course could not get time off of work seeing that I had just started a new job in January and I am asking for time off in July. I promise I really do love Larry's family. I am bound and determined to make it out next year.

So they did a lot of fun things (two Indians games, the Rock N' Roll Hall of Fame, the Kirtland Temple, the racetrack to see Mark race and dinners and basketball with the family). Here are some pics of the fun that I missed :( Oh did I mention that RyAnne won the family the Fan Cave for the game. All 24 of them enjoyed the game including food and drinks, TVs, pool table, and a Wii (keep in mind that the Fan Cave usually costs $3000 a game). Woohoo!!!!

Ry's Junior Prom

So Ry was a Junior this past year so they were responsible for planning the Junior/Senior Prom. Because Ry was the Junior class Secretary she had to help plan the event. As you can tell they had a masquerade ball theme. The faculty said that it was the best prom in a very long time. Great job Ry.
